Catalyse the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin
What are the side effects of these drugs?
Nausea
Vomiting
Bruising
Hypotension
What adverse effects can occur which require these drugs to be stopped?
serious bleeding
allergic reaction
cardiogenic shock
Cardiac arrest
What are the warnings for this drug class?
Contraindicated in bleeding
Previous streptokinase treatment

Anticoagulants and antiplatelets- bleeding
ACEi increase risk of anaphylactoid reactions
