FH Flashcards
What conditions should you reject the takeoff for above 80kts?
Fire or fire warning,
Engine failure,
Takeoff configuration warning,
Predictive windshear warning,
Aircraft unsafe or unable to fly
Conditions for Aborted Engine Start
No N2 or N1 rotation before start lever is raised to idle,
No EGT increase w/in 15 sec of raising start lever,
No increase, or very slow increase in N1/N2 after EGT indication,
EGT rapidly approaching start limit,
No oil pressure by stable idle
Allowable Conditions for Cold Soaked Fuel Frost
Lower wing up to 1/8”
Upper wing: -within the box -OAT >= 4C -Fuel temp >= -16C -No visible moisture —Rain/drizzle —Snow —Fog w/ vis < 1sm
Takeoff Prohibited
Steady surface wind greater than 50kts,
Gust component greater than 20kts,
Braking action NIL,
Thunderstorms at or near airport,
Moderate or greater FZRA,
Heavy FZDZ,
Severe icing by similar or larger aircraft,
Contaminate runway preparation < 60’
Landing Prohibited
Steady surface wind greater than 50kts,
Gust component greater than 20kts,
Braking action NIL,
Thunderstorms at or near airport,
Moderate or greater FZRA,
Heavy FZDZ,
Severe icing by similar or larger aircraft,
Contaminated runway preparation < 60’,
Contaminated runway w/o FICON or breaking action report,
LDA < 7,000’ and
—Tailwind > 5kts

Quick Reference Landing Analysis
Dry or wet runway with braking action good, and
LDA >= 7,000’
Temp <= 35C
Alt <= 4,000’
Headwind >= 0
OR
LDA >= 8,000’
Temp <= 35C
Alt <= 4,000’
Tailwind <= 15kts
Landing Not Recommended - Contaminated Runway
Standing water, slush, or wet snow > 1/2”
Or
Dry snow > 4”
Landing is not prohibited however a maintenance logbook write-up is required
