Pre-employment
Post-employment (dispute b/w employer/employee)
RTW
Specialized (above avg degree psych stability req’d for position)
ADA Req for FFDE, and when met (2)
Reason for evaluation must be job-related and c/w business necessity
When employer shoes reasonable belief on obj evidence that either:
1. Ability to perform essential job functions impaired by condition, or:
2. Poses direct threat due to medical condition
4 Types of WPV
Type 1: Acts w/ criminal intent. Enters workplace to rob/commit crime
2: Customer/client/patient. By person being provided a service.
3: Coworker
4: Personal. Not employed, but some relationship to employee
AMA Pt-Physician Relationship During Eval
States limited pt-doc relationship should be considered to exist only during the isolated assessment of eval, in that: provide obj eval, maintain confidentiality to extent possible, not cause harm
