Who argues that sociology research has been malestream?
Frith and Garber
What does Garber argue?
That there was a problem of the invisibility of girls in sociology youth cultures because much of the research was carried out by male sociologists. At the time, girls would not or could not open up about their lives and experiences
What does Frith argue?
That girls were present in the youth cultures but overlooked because most of the ethnography was carried out by men in public areas. Girls were more controlled by their families therefore not present in street cultures
