Communion Table

Difference between the Cross and Crucifix
Cross is more a symbol of the victory and passion- shows Jesus’ love for all people
Crucifix is a symbol of Jesus’ sacrifice and suffering

connected to the building/in a separate room- full immersion- importance is dedicating life to God, cleansing of sin, and solidifying faith (Jesus in the Jordan river)

other names are Holy communion, mass, lords supper
What does the Eucharist remember
The last supper, Jesus’ farewell meal with disciples in the lead up to his crucifixion

comes from Latin, means ‘to be sent out
most of the mass is led by the priest
Mass is said every day but Catholics are expected to attend on Sunday
the pinnacle of mass is receiving the Eucharist/communion
