FCTM Flashcards
Engine start: 1st read, PM reads, PF do
Else: PM reads and do
Doit-on réaliser immédiatement la procédure QRH si l’ECAM nous le demande ?
Oui
Que doit on crosschecker avant de manipuler ?
Thrust levers, ENG masters, IR modes, pb guarded, CBs
Quelle est la signification des boutons gardés rouges ou noirs ?
Rouge: action irréversible
Noir: réversible
Comment traiter un ECAM caution/warning ?
1/ PM +PF reset attention getter
2/ PM reads title and confirm with SD or overhead
3/FLY (I have controls ?) NAV COM (I have controls ?)
4/ PF + PM: ACN - OEB
5/ PF «ECAM actions»
6/ PM read and do then «Clear system ?»
7/ PM analyzes SD pages then «Clear system?»
8/ PM «Status» PF «Stop ECAM»
9/ PF Normal actions/CL, acceleration pattern, reset, additional procedure, relight ?
10/ PF «Continue ECAM» PM reads status
11/ PM «Remove status ?» «ECAM actions completed
How do you handle an ECAM advisory ?
1/ PM or PF « Advisory on … system»
2/ PF requests PM to monitor drifting parameters
3/ if time permits PM check QRH triggering conditions and recommended actions
What is the effect of the EMER CANC pb on ECAM cautions and alerts ?
On a Caution : cancels aural and message caution
On a Warning: cancels aural only
How do you use QRH summaries ?
When ECAM actions are completed, read CRUISE section, then during approach preparation when you check status read APPROACH, LANDING , GA sections. When in final configuration for landing, you may review LANDING and GA sections
What are the 4 golden rules of Airbus ?
1/ Fly Navigate Communicate in that order and with appropriate tasksharing
2/ Use the appropriate level of automation at all times
3/ Understand the FMA at all times
4/ Take actions if things do not go as expected
Can we observe error track with the bird ?
Yes, +/-2° of error track possible
With which data sources bird is computed ?
IRS + static ( this is why in case altitude information unreliable = bird unreliable)
What is the consequence of FDs set OFF on ATHR ?
ATHR switches to SPEED mode if active. ( e.g TCAS RA procedure)
What is the performance of the ATHR in terms of speed in moderate turbulences ?
+/- 5 kt
When should you disconnect ATHR if you expect to land with ATHR OFF ?
Before 1000ft AAL
When you are out of ALPHAFLOOR what happens with thrust ?
TOGA LK. To regain control of thrust, set ATHR OFF with instinctive disc pb
When is ALPHAFLOOR available ?
Normal law between liftoff and 100ft RA
How is GW computed ? What is it used for ?
1/ by FM with MCDU input and FQI +FF
Used for FMS speeds and predictions
ECAM display
2/ by FAC with aero data at low speed low altitude stabilized flight (or memorized + FF if not in these conditions )
Used for FCTL laws and VLS, F, S, GD on PFD
/!\ on ground FAC takes FM GW
Vamax is computed by FAC. True or False ?
False. Only based on AoA data
What is the reason for CHECK GW on MCDU ? What is the investigation process to follow?
Delta between FM GW and FAC GW (updated when airborne)
1/ LTS vs FMS
If different:
FMS erronous, speed were erronous at TO but now are good (FAC update)
If equal:
FAC erronous, extract speeds from QRH, operational data
2/ Else, you suspect LTS erronous
Compare QRH and PFD speeds (FAC) and determine most probable GW
At which altitude does ROW alarm is armed ?
400ftRA
When ROP is armed ?
At touchdown until GS<30kt
Does ROW/ROP take into account systems failure in the landing distance computation ? Runway wip ?
No / No
