Q

What caution is there regarding tailwind with engine starts?

A
  • Greater than 10kts Tailwind requires positive N1 before moving fuel switch to ON
  • If tailwind greater than 25kts or if indications of increasing N1 cannot be obtained, Reversers Deployment is required.

29
Q

What guidance will WAGS ‘Decreasing Performance’ provide after TO below and above 450ft?

A

Below 450ft = FD will target a 1.5degree FPA (if this cannot be maintained, will guide to stick shaker AOA)
Above 450ft = FD will allow 0degree or decreasing path.

30
Q

What guidance will WAGS ‘Increasing Performance’ target for TO & Go-Around?

A

WAGS will command +1.5degree FPA until appropriate airspeed;
TO = V2+30
Go-Around = 1.3Vs+20

31
Q

What will occur with the throttles after a decreasing windshear alert after TO?

A

  • Advance throttles to 95% of GA thrust
  • Automatic advancement of throttles to 95% of GA thrust, by the AT system
33
Q

A

Between 100kts until 50ft RA

34
Q

Are you allowed to take off with a predictive windshear warning, and how can this be quickly differentiated from a reactive warning?

A

No, predictive warnings alert that windshear is ‘AHEAD’

35
Q

If ‘GO AROUND WINDSHEAR AHEAD’ is annunciated on approach, is a go-around required?

A

FCOM states an immediate go-around must be performed.

36

If a HYD pressure alert is displayed, and indications show normal fluid level what could be happening?

A

It could be a false indication, or could be due to foaming on the affected side.

39
Q

If you have a HYD problem on the Left side (for example) what considerations are there regarding ground maneouvering?

A

Nosewheel steering to the right will be restricted, so plan taxi & parking via left hand turns for full control.

A

The HYD QTY LO checklist covers both scenarios
