Q

Explain Decision Making

A

If I am playing in midfield and win the ball in the final third, I can drive forward and as a defender comes toward me I can make a good decision to pass to a free player rather than attempting to skill around the defender.

Q

Explain Anticipation

A

If my team was defending in the right side of the middle of the court, I can anticipate a pass to come to the centre of the court by watching the body language of the player with the ball as they face the way they want to pass.

Q

Explain Mental toughness

A

When serving against a breakpoint I hit my first serve into the net. Due to a lack of mental toughness I couldn’t block out my nerves or the pressure to get a positive.

9
Q

Explain Concentration

A

If my opponent played a net shot and I was too busy focussing on the game in the other court so I wasn’t concentrating on my opponents body language, I have to scramble to try to get to the shuttle, therefore playing a high and poor return.

Q

Explain Speed

A

If I get the ball in the middle third of the pitch with a defender quickly running toward me, so with the use of speed I can pass the ball around the player and break away, running fast down the side of the pitch and therefore getting away from my marker.

20
Q

Explain Strength

A

If I was dribbling with the ball to try and attack, a defender can come and try and physically block me, yet using strength I can push them off of me to lose the defender.

21
Q

Explain Power

A

When playing in midfield, the ball was played high in the air and I had the opposition midfielder marking me. We both jumped to try and header the ball yet a lack of power in my legs did not allow me to win the header.

22
Q

Explain Agility

A

After returning a shot in a rally, I was in the back left corner of the court so when my opponent played a shot to the front right of the court, I could not quickly change direction to get to the ball.

23
Q

This means Speed

A

I get the ball to the final third with little pressure around me, then being able to play a cross into the box and allowing my teammate to get an attempt at goal.

24
Q

This means Strength

A

This means I am relieved of the pressure of a defender and can continue to attack the hoop. This overall leads to more goal scoring opportunities for my team.

25
Q

This means Power

A

My opponent won the header winning possession for their team which meant my team were outnumbered as the opposition started an attack.

26
Q

This means Agility

A

I couldn’t get stable enough to play an effective return so it hit the net, losing me the rally.

A

32
Q

Explain Fear

A

If I am a winger and am scared to make mistakes in an important knockout game, I can end up playing very simple and only passing backward to the defence.

33
Q

Explain Anger

A

If I am playing in midfield and my marker is tugging my shirt and talking bad to me all game, with poor anger management I can snap at them and react violently.

34
Q

Explain Happiness

A

I can play my shots with conviction and so when I play my serves and choose to tactically change to hitting to the left, I am happy and confident enough to follow through with the serve.

35
Q

Explain Surprise

A

With a positive mindset I can overcome feelings of surprise. If my opponent plays a net shot and I lose the point after being surprised by the shot, I can let the feeling of surprise go and move on.

36
Q

This means fear

A

This means that the ball is less likely to be played forward, reducing our chances of scoring and winning the game, yet also allowing the opposition to press our defence high and win the ball.

37
Q

This means anger

A

I can get a red card, banning me from future games, hindering my development and making my team play with 10 players, outnumbering them.

38
Q

This means happiness

A

My opponent will not be expecting the wide serve and not be able to return the shot, winning me a point.

39
Q

This means surprise

A

I can regain focus and concentration on my next serve and point.

45
Q

Explain Communication

A

If I am playing on the wing and my defender has stopped marking me, I can see my teammate centre midfielder has picked up the ball. Using good communication I can verbally shout to my teammate with the ball to ask for the pass.

46
Q

Explain Etiquette

A

If a tense game is being played and I am winning, and the opponent needs the ball back, I refuse to give them the ball, which wastes time and which can anger them.

47
Q

Explain Team dynamics

A

If it is a tight game and I miss an easy lay-up my teammates can criticise me and not encourage me, making me feel poor and not confident.

48
Q

Explain Crowd influence

A

If a crowd is cheering me on when I make a clever pass in midfield, I can feel more motivated and happy about my performance making me feel very confident

49
Q

This means Communication

A

This means that I receive the ball unmarked and can drive forward to get into a positive attacking position to set up a cross for my striker. This is better than the centre mid turning backward to play it to the defence because they now realise I am free and in a good position due to strong communication.

50
Q

This means Etiquette

A

Arguments break out and more fouls are committed, making the game more dangerous and more likely for me or my teammates to get injured.

51
Q

This means Team dynamics

A

The team can argue on the court and lose their concentration, allowing the opponent to capitalise and score points.

52
Q

This means Crowd influence

A

I am more likely to try new skills and harder tricks to beat defenders and so my team are more likely to be dangerous in attack, which can frustrate the opposition and make my team more likely to score
