Explain Decision Making
If I am playing in midfield and win the ball in the final third, I can drive forward and as a defender comes toward me I can make a good decision to pass to a free player rather than attempting to skill around the defender.
Explain Anticipation
If my team was defending in the right side of the middle of the court, I can anticipate a pass to come to the centre of the court by watching the body language of the player with the ball as they face the way they want to pass.
Explain Mental toughness
When serving against a breakpoint I hit my first serve into the net. Due to a lack of mental toughness I couldn’t block out my nerves or the pressure to get a positive.
Explain Concentration
If my opponent played a net shot and I was too busy focussing on the game in the other court so I wasn’t concentrating on my opponents body language, I have to scramble to try to get to the shuttle, therefore playing a high and poor return.
This means Decision Making
My teammate receives the ball in a better position to what I was in and can have a good chance at scoring a goal.
This means Anticipation
I can regain possession and begin a fast break as I drive forward and get a shot at the basket.
This means Mental toughness
I hit a weak serve into the net leading me to lose a point and therefore give my opponent an advantage.
This means Concentration
My opponent gets to play a simple smash shot to the back of the court, leaving me unable to return a shot, awarding the opponent a point.

Explain Speed
If I get the ball in the middle third of the pitch with a defender quickly running toward me, so with the use of speed I can pass the ball around the player and break away, running fast down the side of the pitch and therefore getting away from my marker.
Explain Strength
If I was dribbling with the ball to try and attack, a defender can come and try and physically block me, yet using strength I can push them off of me to lose the defender.
Explain Power
When playing in midfield, the ball was played high in the air and I had the opposition midfielder marking me. We both jumped to try and header the ball yet a lack of power in my legs did not allow me to win the header.
Explain Agility
After returning a shot in a rally, I was in the back left corner of the court so when my opponent played a shot to the front right of the court, I could not quickly change direction to get to the ball.
This means Speed
I get the ball to the final third with little pressure around me, then being able to play a cross into the box and allowing my teammate to get an attempt at goal.
This means Strength
This means I am relieved of the pressure of a defender and can continue to attack the hoop. This overall leads to more goal scoring opportunities for my team.
