Q

What’s the FIP answer for team dynamics

A

In the social factor

Team with strong team dynamic will always go above and beyond their own roles a responsibilities in order to help others. In hockey, a centre defender was up against a skilful opponent when their team was 1-0 down. The defender got support from the left defender, meaning the centre defender wouldn’t get a direct 1v1. This therefore lead to the skilful opponent getting tackled which prevented them taking a shot at goal.

Q

What’s the FIP answer for commutation negative

A

Part of the social factor

Players who cannot communicate can’t help players in possession of the ball. In hockey, a winger who doesn’t call for the ball, despite being in space will never alert their teammates, as to where they are on the field. This can lead to their team mate holding on to the ball for to long, being pressured and loosing possession

Q

What’s the FIP answer for roles and responsibilities

A

Social factor

My team captain inspired me to do well in a recent hockey match. Their vocal support and encouragement during the game really motivated me o I’ve 100%. This allowed me to completely focus on my own roles and responsibilities as a striker and also bouncing back from any mistakes i made as i had the confidence to continue. This resulted in my performance being of a high level as i scored many goals, making the overall score 3-0.

Q

What’s the FIP answer for CRE

A
  • A lack of CRE may negatively impact me when playing centre midfield on a hockey pitch. This can be shown in the last couple minutes if a hockey match where I am physically tired and my concentration is also wearing away. This being highlighted in a 2vs 1 where I could’ve passed to my team mate but instead I carried the ball. Thus leading me to be tackled and my whole team having to spend more energy to get back and defend the ball.

Q

Whats the FIP answer for accuracy

A

A lack of accuracy may negatively impact me when playing left midfield on a hockey pitch. This can be shown when I pass the ball to the opposition during the game. This lead to the opposition taking a lead with the ball, which in turn put pressure on the defence, meaning my team mates in the future didn’t feel comfortable passing the ball to me, meaning I became more of an useless player.

Q

Whats the FIP answer for agility

A
  • A high amount of agility may impact me positively when playing left striker on a hockey pitch. This can be shown when I fake out to go to the opponent, which makes the opponent loose balance, then go into the other direction, allowing me to run into the space I had just created. This allowed me to make a lead from the space I had created and take a shot at goal.

Q

Whats the FIP answer for fear

A

A lot of fear throughout the game when playing left defence impacted me negatively on a hockey pitch, due to the fact the score was still 0-0. This could’ve been shown when we were defending a penalty corner and I was told to run to the ball when it had been pushed into the shooting circle. Due to the fear I had from being hit by the ball I hesitated when the ball entered the circle, meaning the opponent took an easier shot at goal due to not much pressure from defenders, this then less our team to be 0-1 down which impacted the teams morale.

Q

Whats the FIP answer for anger

A

A high amount of anger in a high stakes hockey match may impact me negatively on the hockey pitch. This may be shown when I played centre striker and I hit a dangerous ball in the shooting circle, and I threw my stick down in frustration. This lead to a hit out being given for the other team and also me being sent of, meaning I could support my team set up the press, resulting in the ball leaving our shooting half and entering our defending half.
