How to answer a describe question
Short and sharp sentences
Who what where and when
Eg how something looks or how something is carried out
Identify
Just name it
Explain
Cause and effect and justify
Sentence one is in relation to the question and sentence 2 is showing the effect
Sentence is the impact (positive or negative)
Evaluate
Judge something and provide evidence
Give reasons to support your judgment
Structure on how to answer
1. Make your judgment, using phrases such as beneficial, limited, improved etc
2. Give a point as to why you have made this judgment
3. Back this up with evidence
Analyse
Deconstruct
Eg. It is important to complete a scat test immediately after a performance
Why
Eg. This is because thoughts and feelings will be fresh in your head
Impact. This means you’ll be able to provide more accurate answers which can ensure your results are reliable
How to do an evaluate question
Judgment.
Eg the scat test was fairly effective in collecting data on the mental factor
Evidence
It was beneficial because it was practical and easy to complete
Impact
This was good because I remained motivated in a quick data collection process which meant I tried to be very considerate of my response to each statement
