0.5 cun lateral to midline, level with the space inferior to the spinous process of C7
(co-located with huatuojiaji point)
Promotes the descending of LU qi and relieves cough and asthma-

Urticaria
Yishu - pancreas shu
Yishu - pancreas shu

1.5 cun lateral to the midline, level with the space inferior to the spinous process of T8
Regulates the stomach and alleviates pain - abdominal pain, vomiting, pain of the chest and lateral costal region
Clears heat and generates fluids- extreme thirst, dry throat, wasting and thirsting disorder
Huatuojiaji
Huatuojiaji - hua tuo’s paravertebral points
24 bilateral point, on either side of the spine. 0.5 to 1 cun lateral to the midline, level with the space inferior to each spinous process from C1-L5
(alternate location note - 17 bilateral points from T1-L5)
Regulates the zang-fu organs
The upper thoracic jiaji are effective dor disorders of the LU, HT and upper limbs
The lower thoracic jiaji are effective for gastrointestinal disorders
The Lumbar jaiji are effective for disorders of the back, abdomen and lower limbs
Yaoyan
Yaoyan - lumbar eyes
In the lateral lumbar area, located 3-4 cun lateral to the midline, anywhere between L3-L5, often (but not always) in a visible dimple or palpable depression in the muscle.
Note- not over pelvis as shown in deadman - this is a lumbar point
Tonifies KI and strengthens LX region and waist- lower back pain
Shiqizhuixia
Shiqizhuixia - below the 17th vertebra
On the posterior midline, in the depression below the spinous process of the fifth lumbar vertebra (L5)
Activates qi and blood and relieves pain- lumbar or lumbosacral pain; numbness or paralysis of the lower extremities
Tonifies the kidney and regulates menstruation- dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation
Pigen
Pigen- abdominal swelling
On the low back 3.5 cun lateral to the space inferior to the spinous process of L1
On the same level as BL 22 and BL51
Activates qi and blood and relieves pain- enlarged LR or SP, pain in the ST, KI, prolapse, gastritis, enteritis
Jinggong
Jinggong - palace of essence
On the low back, 3.5 cun lateral to the space inferior to the spinous process of L2
Tonifies the KI and KI essence (jing) - exhaustion, dizziness, tinnitus, backache, decreased sexual function, impotence, infertility, premature ejaculation, nocturnal emissions
Yaoyi
Yaoyi- lumbar proper
On the low back, 3 cun lateral to the space inferior to the spinous process of L4
Level with Du 3 and BL25
Strengthens the lumbar - injury to soft tissue of the low back
Yaoqi
Yaoqi - lumbar strange
On the posterior midline, below the second sacral tubercle (S2)
Dispels wind and calms the shen- seizures, headaches, insomnia
Constipation
Huanzhong
Huanzhong - circle center
On the buttocks, ⅔ of the distance between the greater trocanter and the sacral hiatus
(midway between GB30 and GV2)
Activates the channel and relieves pain- leg pain, low back pain
Disperses wind and eliminates dampness- sciatica, bi syndrome of the hip
Zuogu
Zuogu - sit bone
On the buttock, next to the lateral edge of the ischial tuberosity
(1 cun inferior to the midpoint of a line connecting the greater trochanter and the tip of the coccyx)
Activates the channel and relieves pain- sciatica, lower limb paralysis
Disperses wind and eliminates dampness- sciatica, lower limb paralysis
