Baichongwo
Baichongwo - 100 insects nest
On the anterior thigh, in the vastus medialis, 1 cun superior to SP10
Clears heat and cools blood - rubella, eczema
Disperses wind and drains dampness - eczema.. Severe itching
Eliminates parasites - gastrointestinal parasites
Heding
Heding- crane’s (summit) crown
In the depression at the midpoint of the superior border of the patella
Dispels wind damp, reduces swelling and relieves pain -pain, weakness, paralysis of the knee and leg
Benefits the knee joints - pain, weakness, paralysis of the knee
Xiyan
Xiyan - knee eyes, eyes of the knee
On the knee, in the hollows formed when the knee is flexed, immediately below the patella and both medial and lateral to the patellar ligament
Disperses wind damp, reduces swelling and relieves pain- pain, swelling, or weakness of the knee and lower legs
Benefits the knee joints- pain, swelling, or weakness of the knee
Xiyi
Xiyi - knee wings
2 points, one on either side of the knee, in the joint space between the femur and tibia at the posterior edge of the medial and lateral collateral ligaments respectively
Disperses wind damp, reduces swelling and alleviates pain- pain, swelling or weakness of the knee and lower leg
Benefits the knee joints - pain, swelling or weakness of the knee
Lanweixue
Lanweixue - appendix point
Below the knee, 1-2 cun inferior to ST-36, in a tender spot
Activates qi and blood, clears heat and detoxifies fire poison in the large intestine - appendicitis, indigestion, lower extremity paralysis
Dannangxue
Dannangxue - gallbladder point
Below the head of the fibula, 1-2 cun inferior to GB34, in a tender spot
Clears heat, drains damp and benefits the gallbladder- cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, biliary ascariasis, muscular atrophy of the lower extremities
Linghou
Linghou- behind the mound (posterior to GB34)
Below the knee, posterior and inferior to the head of the fibula
Dispel wind damp and alleviate pain-sciatica knee problems, lower limb paralysis
Naoqing
Naoqing - brain clear/ clear the brain
On the anterior lower leg just above the ankle, slightly lateral to the tibia/ tibialis anterior, 1.5 cun superior to ST41
Open the mind-lassitude, vertigo, amnesia
Activate qi and blood- foot drop
Bafeng
Bafeng - eight winds
On the dorsum of the foot, between the toes, 0.5 cun proximal to the web (4 points on each foot)
Co-located with LR2, ST44, and GB34
Activates qi and blood and alleviates pain- pain of the toes or the dorsum of the foot
Clears heat and reduces swelling - leg qi- pain, redness, swelling, numbness and weakness of the feet and legs
Regulates menstruation - irregular menstruation
Shangbafeng
Shangbafeng- upper eight winds
On the dorsum of the foot, between the matatarsals, just proximal to the metatarso-phalangeal joints (4 points on each foot)
Often co-located with GB42
Activates qi and blood and alleviates pain-pain of the toes or the dorsum of the foot
Clears heat and reduces swelling- leg qi - pain, redness, swelling, numbness and weakness of the feet and legs)
Shimian
Shimian - Lost sleep
On the bottom of the foot, in the center of the heel
Calms the shen- insomnia
Activates qi and blood and relieves pain- heel, or sole pain
Qiduan
Qiduan - extremity of qi
5 points on each foot, at the center of the end of each toe
(analogus with Shixuan)
Clears heat and pacifices wind- syncope
Activates qi and blood and alleviate pain- inflammation of the foot, numbness or paralysis of the toes
