achieving or maintaining physical fitness. It is actually a sub-category
of physical activity.
Exercise
is any form of exercise or movement of
the body that uses energy. Some of your daily life
activities—doing active chores around the house, yard
work, walking the dog—are examples.
Physical Activity
make you breathe harder and
make your heart and blood vessels healthier
Aerobic activities
is a great way to improve or maintain your overall health. Just 30 minutes every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance.
Walking
the movement of the body in a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a given space, for the purpose of expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy, or simply taking delight in the movement itself..
Dancing-
improves overall function in your lower body and strengthens your leg muscles without overstressing your joints. It targets your quads, glutes, hamstrings, and calves.
Cycling-
ensure a good range of motion in the joints.
Loss of flexibility can be a predisposing factor for physical issues, such as pain
syndromes or balance disorders.
Flexibility enhancing activities
keeps the muscles flexible, strong,
and healthy, and we need that flexibility to
maintain a range of motion in the joints.
Without it, the muscles shorten and become
tight. That puts you at risk for joint pain,
strains, and muscle damage.
Stretching
is an ancient practice
that involves physical poses,
concentration, and deep
breathing
Yoga-
main focus is on core however, you
can expect to see strength gains in your arms
and legs. Positions and movements used to
activate core rely on extremities to control
&/or apply loads to the core and likewise will
benefit from Pilates.
Pilates’
is an ancient Chinese tradition that,
today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise.
It involves a series of movements performed in a
slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep
breathing
Tai chi
build up your strength. These activities work all the
different parts of the body—legs, hips, back, chest, stomach, shoulders, and arms.
Muscle-Strengthening-
builds both upper-body and core
strength.
PUSH- UP
is an abdominal endurance training
exercise to strengthen, tighten and tone the
abdominal muscles.
Sit-up
can even increase
the stabiliser muscles to a greater extent than weight
training.
Resistance-band training
