Personal selling process
The personal selling process consists of several step that salespeople must muster. These steps include prospecting and qualifying, when the salesperson identifies potential clients. Pre-approach, when the salesperson learns as much as possible about the prospective customer before making a sales call. Approach, when the sales person meets the customer for the first time. Presentation, when the salesperson tells the customer about the value of their product. Handling objections, when the sales person seeks out, clarifies and overcomes customer objections to buying. Closing, when the salesperson asks the customer for an order. Follow-up, when the sales person follows up after the sale to ensure the customer satisfaction and repeat business.
