Q

Pathophysiology of SIDS: anatomical causes

A
  • Cortex - maintains sleep, responds to wake-up signal
  • Subcortex - sends wake-up signal to cortex
  • Respiratory - signals danger to subcortex when blocked
  • Cardiovascular - irregular heartbeat (qtc)

Q

Pathophysiology of SIDS: malfunction (external) causes

A
