What are the weaknesses of this theory
The theory does not account for any homosexual or same sex relationships. As it is not possible to have a child through typical means in these relationships
Because this theory predicts that attraction is universal it does not account for different cultures and body shapes when it comes to attraction throughout time
It emphasises the difference in what men and woman look for in partners however this exaggeration is known as alpha bias and the differences in qualities the genders look for may be overstated
