Q

what are the 3 ways fossils form?

A

when parts of an organism haven’t decayed, when an organism decays but parts of organism are slowly replaced by minerals during decay process , preserved traces of organisms like footprints, burrows and rootlet traces

Q

what are the problems with fossils?

A

many early life forms are soft bodied and have decayed completely, so there are few of them, and fossils from millions of years ago have been destroyed by geological activity
