pill contains oestrogen and progesterone which inhibit release of LH and FSH
adv - highly effective
dis - must be taken everyday

contains progesterone which stops eggs from maturing or being released
adv- more convienient then taking a daily pill
dis- can have side effects

none of these protect against stds

kill sperm and prevent embryos from implanting
plastic -> release progesterone
copper -> prevents sperm from surviving
