ETHICS

  • patient blame: assumes client is responsible for disorder
  • positive as empowering as they ca change however situational factors such as family client cannot change therefore blame is not helpful
  • irrational: some thoughts therapist may see as irrational may not be hAbrahamson suggest depressive realists see things as they are sadder but wiser
  • CBT can damage self esteem
