A
1) Fields are sprayed with inorganic fertiliser rich in nitrates and phosphates. The fertiliser gets washed into water systems by rain
2) Algal bloom is produced which blocks sunlight so other plants can’t photosynthesise
3) The plants that are unable to photosynthesise die and get decomposed by decomposers which respire aerobically (using up oxygen)
4) Lack of oxygen results in aquatic species (fish) dying
