What is an important consideration regarding independence in the workplace?
You must uphold professional standards above the demands of employment.
How does the public gauge a profession?
By its demonstration of independence.
In addition to independence from employers or clients what what members also be independent from?
- special interest groups
- majority groups
- self-interest
If a member is in an independence conflict what should he do?
- propose solutions
- advocate for change
- contact ABCFP
- if extreme, withdraw
If you are expressing your rights peacefully and within the law, can your employer take action against you?
No, that would be a violation of the charter of rights and freedoms.
What is respectful regard?
A positive attitude. Recognizes a persons professional has met the required standards to have the right to practice his profession.
