What was Epimetheus known for?

A

Given the task to appoint traits to mortal creatures with his brother Prometheus (foresight), he convinced his brother for himself to do the allocation.

Q

How was Hermes involved?

A

Due to mortal humans being weak in every aspect in comparison to other mortal creatures, they were devoured and slaughtered. Even after founding fortified cities and binding together, they’d fight each other before dispersing.

Zeus sent down Hermes do distribute qualities of respect for others and a sense of justice. Zeus set a rule as if anyone did not comply with the virtues, they were to be put to death as they are a “plague to the city”.
