What is an EOSID?
Guarantees terrain and obstacle separation, unique for each departure runway end.
What is a standard EOSID?
Straight ahead, at least 15NM or more, with a holding fix coded in the FMC.
Considerations for EOSID below & above 1000ft?
Below 1000ft, follow EOSID.
Above 1000ft, bugged up, at deviation point, or in the third segment (flap acceleration in progress), continue retracting flaps and follow SID / ATC instructions.
What bank angles is the EOSID planned for?
Below MFRA - 15º
Flaps UP no light - 25º
What are the speeds planned for a Special EOSID?
Below MFRA - V2 to V2 + 20
Above MFRA - bug UP speed.
What is the normal holding pattern for an EOSID?
5NM straight to the holding fix, turn of 2NM radius.
An EOSID cannot be commenced until?
Clear of the Departure End of Runway, and above 59ft
