Physical (body growth) mental (development of the mind) Emotional (feelings) Social (interacting and relating to others)
What are the stages of life
prental, infancy, early, middle, late childhood. Adolescence, early, middle late adulthood, death
What is prenatal
is fertilization until birth. forty weeks of pregancy three trimesters
What is infancy
Birth until 1. rolling and crawling, grasping objects, rooting and startle reflex. 6-12 months they can eat solids. Bonding is important
What is early childhood
1-6 years old 1-3 are toddlers. verbal growth, short attention span, asking questions
what is Middle childhood
six to ten. mental development is fast physical is slow. defined personalities
what is late childhood
ten to twelve. preteens. group oriented, sexual maturation and body changes
What is adolescence
twelve to 20. physical development is accelerated. mental includes reasoning, abstract thinking, critical thinking. social development revolves around peers.
what is early adult hood
Twenty to forty. traditional gender roles continue to be in flux.
what is middle adulthood
forty to sixty five. more active and productive. begin to notice signs of ageing. Continue to develop mentally. emotinally can bring satisfaction and contentment
What is late adulthood
Sixty five and up. shows signs of ageing. mental ability can vary. emotional vary. travel and social activites enchance.
What is death and dying
the final stage of growth.
What are the stages of grief
Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance
What is palliative care
includes measures that take care of a patient who is on thier deathbed to prvent the suffering before they die
