what is enzyme kinetics?
A
study of the rate of an enzyme catalysed reaction, and how the rate varied with different [substrate], amounts of inhibitors, metal ions, cofactors and pH

A
change in [product] / change in time
-increase in amount of product formed per unit time

how can ROR be measured?
A
by measuring rate of appearance of the product, or rate of substrate consumption

A
- at low [substrate], rate is directly proportional to [substrate]
- at high [substrate] reaction rate is independent - zero order kinetics as it reached a limit sue to saturation of enzymes > V approaches Vmax as [S] increases
