Patients with IBD complaining of joint pain/ Stiffness/ Swelling.

Peripheral or axial

Peripheral Arthropathy types
A
Type 1 - Asymmetrical monarthritis, strongly associated with IBD Flares.
Type 2 - Symmetrical polyarthritis, Weakly associated with IBD Flares.

Treatment
A
Do not use NSAIDs as will make IBD symptoms worse.
DMARDs (sulfasalazine)
Anti TNF- Alpha (Etanercept)
