Pathophysiology
Chronic pain inpatients with hypermobile joints, with increased rom. Usually due laxity in joint capsule, ligaments and tendons.
Pain due to microtrauma.
Symptoms
Pain (worse after movement)
Fatigue
Myopia
Hernia
Rectal prolapse
Recurrent dislocations
Marfans habitus
Spider fingers
Investigations
Genetic testing to rule out Marfans (fibrillin [FBN-1]) and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (Collagen)

1. Index finger extension (1+1)
2. Thumb extension (1+1)
3. Knee extension (1+1)
4. Elbow extension (1+1)
5. Touch floor with palms. (1)
Treatment
Joint strengthening exercises
Balance and posture correction

Paracetamol PRN.
