Hypothalamus
Gland which is located in brain and controls endocrine system. Uses info from nervous system to determine when to tell other glands to produce hormones
Pituitary
Small gland which makes hormones that control thyroid gland, adrenal gland, ovaries and testicles
Thyroid
Butterfly shaped gland in front of neck. Responsible for metabolism
Parathyroid
Four tiny glands which control level of calcium in body. Allows heart, kidneys, bones and nervous system to work properly by doing this
Adrenal
One on top of each kidney
Control metabolism, BP, sexual development and response to stress
Pineal
This gland manages sleep cycle by releasing melatonin which makes you sleepy
Pancreas
Plays role in digestive system. Makes hormone called insulin which controls level of sugar in blood
Ovaries
Release oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone
Testes
Make sperms and releases testosterone
