A DEVICE THAT PICKS UP SIGNALS FROM LOWER POWER RADIO UNITS, SUCH AS MOBILE AND PORTABLE RADIOS, AND RETRANSMITS THEM AT A HIGHER POWER. IT ALLOWS LOW POWER TWO WAY RADIOS TO BE TRANSMITTED OVER LONGER DISTANCES.
