Prolapsed Cord
Umbilical Cord is 1st part presenting instead of head at vagina after amniotic sac ruptures
1) Do Not Push ; “pant like a dog”
2) Position Patient into knee-chest position
3) Insert Gloved hand into vagina, gently push fetus away from pulsating cord
4) Cover Umbilical Cord w/ a sterile dressing

Diabetic Retinopathy
