  2. Encouraged to use dialogue and exchange relevant information to resolve the matter
  3. The right to be represented at any stage
  4. Primary parties have the initial responsibility for resolution unless
    relates to actions by the supervisor which not be appropriate for the supervisor to deal with
    Involves some other reason that would justify escalating responsibility to a person more senior

What is the process for resolving relationship problems

A
  1. Raise the problem
  2. Parties engage in informal dialogue to discuss and attempt to resolve in good faith
  3. If it does not resolve the employee may take the matter to another manager or progress matter which may include raising a personal grievance
  4. If remains unresolved can be referred to mediation
  5. If not resolved here either party may seek resolution through a more formal process ie Employment relations authority or Human rights commission
