should make adjustments for those apply with a disability i.e applications in braille
adjustments should also be like ramps for wheelchairs or help on hand for diabled people

contracts for employees as soon as they accept the job as an agreement between the employer and employee under which they have certain obligations
i.e. duties to pay workers in return for workers to work properly etc. - legally entitled to a Written Statement of Employment
sets out main aspect of a persons employment - hours of work, pay, sickness entitlement etc.

- ensuring building is safe with its entry and exit
- whole system of work is safe
- employees with correct safety equipment and clothing and trained to use it
- a written safety policy for who is responsible for safety issues
- provide training for hazards associated with the work

health and safety commission (HSC)
in the uk
responsiblity is to protect people’s health ans safety by ensuring that risk in the workplace is properly controlled, to conduct research, promote training and provide info on H+S issues
health and safety executive (HSE)
responsible to the HSC for the regulation of risks and health and safety in organisations dealing with nuclear installations, factories, farms, hospitals and schools, gas and oil installations and movement of dangerous goods and substances
Minimum Wage Act
minimum level of pay to what people are entitles to both full and part- time employment
guarantee a certain level of wages
for all business to compete on the basis of the quality of their products, efficiency and customer service rather than their low wages
