- Turn the wheel towards the MOB
- Inform Master

Manoeuvre
- Engage hand steering
- Usually, Williamson - hard over to one side, once vessel reaches 60° off original course, then hard over the other side until 20° off reciprocal course, wheel amidships and steady her on the reciprocal course
Communications
- Mayday - dependant on what sea area
- Post extra lookouts
Rescue
- Muster rescue boat team
- Thinking of wind and drift, giving MOB a lee
- Mustering medical team
- Rigging pilot ladder and nets

A
- Inform the Master
- Sound the fire alarm
- Muster the crew (for emergency duties and for any potential casualties)
- Remote closure of fire doors
- Ensure safe nav of ship or go to muster duty (fire team leader maybe)
