What should pax receive before or immediately after sailing?

• A safety briefing

- Undergo a muster drill

What are the requirements for crew fire and abandon ship drills?

Answer 2

• Once a month or if 25% of the crew have not participated in one for that month then they must do one within 24hours
• On pax ships, there shall be a weekly drill

Question 3

What are the requirements for the crew in other ship drills?

Answer 3

• Each lifeboat shall be launched and manoeuvred once every three months
• Enclosed space drill shall be done every 2 months
• Emergency Steering gear every 3 months

Question 4

The requirement for crew training?

Answer 4

• All newly joined crew be trained in life-saving appliances, survival craft and fire extinguishers within two weeks
• Training for davit launched liferaft at least every 4 months
