THE EVACUATION SIGNAL
A
- Shall consist of repeated short blasts of the air horn for approximately 10 seconds, followed by 10 seconds of silence.
- Air horn blasts shall be performed three times; total air horn evacuation signal time including periods of silence shall last 50 seconds.
- Command shall designate a specific apparatus to sound the evacuation signal.
- An evacuation signal shall be given via the SEMS unit.

Command shall conduct an emergency incident Roll Call using the Personal Accountability System (PAS) under the following circumstances:
A
- Upon receiving a MAYDAY.
- A significant incident event occurs (e.g. roof or building collapse, explosion, etc.).
- Prior to starting defensive tactics when the operational mode changes from offensive to defensive.
- Command determines a need.
