Puritans think priest clothing can’t be special (colourful) as distracts from worship:
Believe priests should be normal not special
Elizabeth wanted vestments as wanted people see priests as special (royal injunctions)

If didn’t attend lost post (37 not attend)
This stopped puritan clergy refusing wear vestments
