Poysdam conference agreements (3)

A

Berlin divided to 4 zones controlled on different countries based inside soviet Germany
Soviets want Germany pay heavy reperations but truman concerned how this makes German economic recovery harder & agrees each administering country take reperations from own zone
Soviets had poorest zone allowed take 1/4 industrial equipment from other zones

Truman saw red army as occupational
But to avoud another war did nothing
Truman object to agreements with Poland & previously agreed borders, want gov with less communist influence
