Within the elevator controller.

Within 24 inches of sprinklers at the top of hoist ways and in the mechanical room.
What does the red firefighter helmet indicate?
Impending elevator shunt trip due to smoke at the top of hoist way or in mechanical room.
What to do when red helmet flashes in elevator?
Exit the elevator
When will the elevator shunt trip be activated without warning?
If there is significant heat in the hoist way or mechanical room.
