Clinical Features
A
Pain - lower abdominal, initially colicky, then constant
Abnormal vaginal bleeding - scanty, dark
Syncope and shoulder tip pain - intraperitoneal blood loss
Tachycardia, hypotension
Abdominal rebound tenderness, guarding
Cervical excitation (movement of uterus causes pain)

A
Urine pregnancy test US Serum hCG Full blood count, group and save Laparoscopy

Management
A
Conservative - uncertain diagnosis, asymptomatic patient
Medical - methotrexate
Surgical - open or laparoscopic salpingostomy or salpingectomy
Pre- and post-treatment counselling
