1
Q
Cephalocaudal Principle
A
Believes that development proceeds in a head to tail direction indicating that the upper parts of the body develop first before their lower parts and that infants learn to use the upper parts before the lower parts.
2
Q
Proximodistal Principle
A
Development proceeds from the center to the periphery, meaning that the parts closer to the center develop before the extremities. Children initially acquire the ability to use their upper arms and upper legs, followed by their forearms and forelegs, and eventually their hands, feet, fingers, and toes.
