Which three events significantly impacted Hitler’s life?
In 1889 Hitler was born in the Braunau-am-Inn village in Austria-Hungary.
In 1903 his father died they have never been very close as his father wanted him to be a civil servant while he wanted to be an artist. In 1907 his mother died and in the same year both of Hitler’s applications at the Academy of fine arts at Vienna were rejected. this led to Hitler spending five years living rough and selling hand-painted postcards. In 1913 he fled to Austria to avoid war and was arrested. While in Austria he was deemed unfit for war allowing him to return to Munich.
What role did Hitler play in the war?
In 1914, he joined the army on special dispensation at the 16th Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment and won a Second and First Class Iron Cross. He reached Gefreite (lance corporal) position and by the end of war was temporarily blinded by a gas attack. He accepted the Dolschtoss theory.
