as close to a shooting war with france as we can be, they are mad we signed the jay treaty, adams was the british supported candidate and won

france regains territory from spain, jefferson goes against the constitution, monroe and livingston sign treaty
lewis and clark
someone had to go explore the new purchase, meriwether lewis and william clark, all the way to the pacific ocean, sacagawea
