  1. Myalgia (muscle aches and pains)= reversible.
  2. Myositis (inflammation to muscle cells, more damage to muscle cells)= sometimes reversible.
  3. Rhabdomyolysis (muscle cell death)= irreversible.

Name one sign/symptom of rhabdomyolysis and its mechanism.

A

Dark urine due to the increase in creatine kinase and myoglobin which is a sign of muscle death. This can also damage the kidney and is life threatening.
