- intranasal steroid sprays ( Nasocort, Flonase)

Epistaxsis
can use Afrin ( topical nasal decongestant) short term
AOM
No prior antibiotics = amoxicillin high dose 1000mg TID
Prior antibiotics = Augmentin
AOM adjuncts
Nsaids, Oral decongestants, Nasal Saline spray, Afrin
Otitis Externa
Topical steroid and antibiotic combination = cortisporin
ABRS
1 . observe ( no antihistamines or decongestants
2. Aumentin 2. allergy to penicillin ( doxy)
bacterial meningitis
rifampin ( orange urine, not to pregnant people)
rocky mountain spotted fever
Doxy right away 7-10 days
Erythema Migrans
Doxy 14-21 days
Rosacea
- eliminate trigger
2. topical metronidazole
Mild cellulitis
Cephalexin Keflex
Purulent cellulitis
MRSA ( bactrim x 10 days or clindamycin
Human Bites / Dog and Cat Bites

Hidradenitis Suppurativa
- avoid skin trauma 2. smoking cessation 3. triple antibioitcs cream at night 4. chlorhexidine wash daily
Psoriasis
- emollients ( ointments for skin hydration)
- topical corticosteroids
- moderate potentcy Kenalog
- sensitive area - low hyrocortisone
- scalp - high potency
Scabies
permethrine elimite cream
tinea capitis
systemic tx only
Griseofulvin, Terbinafine, fluconazole
Tinea corporis, cruris, pedis

SLE

CAP
- Macrolides : Azithryomycin x 5 days ( No cormodities)
2. Fluroquinolones : Moxifloxvin, Levofloxcin ( Y comordities)
