6/52 - LVEF > 40% + functional assessment
Flying - 2 weeks, if can walk up stairs ok then no issue
Angina
If symptoms at rest - stop
Group 2 - notify DVLA, stop
Revoked if asym 6/52 and functional assessment ok
Pacemaker insertion
1 week
ICD
If had sustained VT - 6 months
If prophylactic - 1 month
Group 2 - permanent bar
Successful catheter ablation
2 days
AAA > 6cm
notify DVLA
Annual review
> 6.5 – disqualified
Visual feild defects
must cease unless confirmed able to meet recommended national guidelines for visual field
Monocular vision
notify DVLA, may drive if acuity and visual field is normal in the remaining eye
Blepharospasm
consultant opinion
Oral diabetic treatment
Annual review
Aware of hypos
No more than 1 hypo a year
Group 2 - short term licence 1-3 years. No hypos.
Insulin
Notify DVLA - 1-3 year licence
Group 2 - 1 year
First unprovoked seizure
6 months
EEG/ structural abnormalities - 12 months
Epilepsy diagnosis
seizure free 12/12
if no seizures 5 years > normal licence
