What is a drug?
any substance taken into the body that modifies or affects chemical reactions in the body

- Depressants (eg: alcohol, solvents , temazepan)
- Stimulants (eg: caffeine, nicotine)
- Painkillers (eg: aspirin)
- Hallucinigens (eg: ZSD)
- Performance Enchaning (eg: anabolic
- steriods)
What is a antibiotic?
chemical substances made by certain fungi or bacteria that are designed to kill living organisms and treat bacterial infections
WHY ANTIBIOTICS DONT AFFECT VIRUSES?
Antibiotics working by disrupting cell functions such as respiration, or, breaking down the structure of the cell in some way, however, viruses don’t carry out any cell functions and don’t have any cell membranes, walls, or organelles.
What is antibiotic resistance?
When bacteria are no longer affected by a certain type of antibiotic
