2- They can live and replicate on it’s own, no need for a host

3- They are found everywhere.

4- They contain 2 DNA materials : Plasmid, Nucleoid

5- Plasmid: Self defense

6- Circular Dna found in the Nucleoid providing bateria with advantages like antibiotic resistance

Q

What happens if you are not consistant with your antibiotic

A

It becomes ineffective because the plasmid would’e built immunity against it.

17
Q

Compare and contrast viruses and bacteria

A

Similarities:
1- Genetic material DNA

Differences:

2- Virus: Protein coat
Bacteria : Cell wall

18
Q

Why don’t antibiotic work on viruses

A

Viruses have no cell membrane, no cell wall, no ribosomes ( antibiotics usually targets them and kills/destroys them) so they don’t synthesis protein, they do not respire since they are not living
