Adult: 325-650mg PO q4-6h PRN, max dose 4g/day
Pedi: 15mg/kg PO q4-6h PRN, max dose 4g/day
Acetaminophen precautions
Metabolized by liver-overdose can be toxic
Does not have an anti-platelet aggregation effect
Does not have peripheral anti-inflammatory effect
Acetaminophen drug-drug interactions
Chronic excessive use of alcohol increases risk of hepatotoxicity
