  • payloads are dispensed out the rear or from the bottom of the dispenser through multiple openings
  • body is made of lightweight aluminum or steel

A
  • dropped dispensers fall away from the aircraft and are stabilized in flight by fin assemblies
  • separate at a predetermined height to deploy the payload
  • dropped dispenser bodies are multi-piece construction either clamshell or tai-shell
  • made from tin case metal
  • Russian dispensers, most of the time will look like either a “water heater” or have a nose that almost comes to a point
