Q

What is done at JS for DRA in young stands?

A

Be very cautious if you can see it at all. Armillaria can go into a flare up in cut stumps which will quickly increase in strength and start killing.
- Avoid brushing (If needed, make sure it is done early to reduce flare up)
Low - space of you feel necessary but favor Lw Cw as leave trees.
Mod - only if greater than max density
High - do nothing. Accept reduced stocking. Potential rehab.

Q

Where is partial harvest ok?

A
  • On the coast it should be ok as long as trees are mature.
  • not for ICH
  • In other zones, be very cautious. If you had to, do patch cuts and remove innoculum. Really stress Lw Cw as leave trees (less than 20% susceptible)
